About Misty

Misty has over 14 years of experience in the mental health field conducting research with children and adolescents providing psychiatric rehabilitation services, therapeutic staff support, and conducting therapy. The populations she has worked with include children, adolescents, adults with substance abuse issues, foster care children, at-risk youth, and juvenile offenders.

She has conducted intensive outpatient group therapy as well as individual therapy. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and went on to pursue a Master of Arts in Psychology at the Catholic University of America. She is passionate about issues that young people face such as peer pressure, validation, and self-esteem. Mentoring is also another passion. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Supervisor in the State of Maryland.​
