Sara Pirmohamed holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. She has been a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor for five years and provides therapy services to children, adolescents and families as part of the School Mental Health Program within Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

Ms. Pirmohamed received specialized training in working with young children and families as part of internships with the University of Maryland Secure Starts Program, and has ample training in play and art therapy. These unique training experiences have formed the basis of her therapeutic approach which is trauma informed, family focused and developmentally oriented to the individual child/adolescent. She believes her role as a child therapist is to facilitate the child to express themselves while assisting families in understanding and supporting their child.
