Nicole Bushnell is a Licensed Master of Social Worker (LMSW)in the state of Maryland and obtained her Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. She holds a certificate as a Certified Clinician Trauma Professional (CCTP) to provide clients with an evidence-based framework for navigating past trauma and help clients rediscover joy and happiness within their lives.

Nicole has a variety of experience working with children and youth within the military community as well as providing parent support to enhance their parenting knowledge and skills. Her past experience includes interning with the Family Advocacy Program where served active duty service members and their families in a group setting while also providing individual sessions for new mothers needing support as they discover the challenges of motherhood. During this time, Nicole also worked as a domestic abuse victim advocate serving the military community providing support, advocacy, referral, and assistance to victims within the military community.

She currently works as a school-based clinician serving primarily children of active duty service members and/or retirees. Nicole’s focus has been working with students challenged by the transitions associated with the military culture, emotional and behavioral challenges, and traumatic backgrounds.

She has experience working with children who have Autism, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, and Adjustment Disorders.
